Art Compilation I

Hello, friends!

Today I compiled some of the art I've been working on lately. Due to quarantine, I've had a lot more time to dedicate to creativity, which has been a huge blessing... definitely a silver lining in all of this craziness! I've been able to write more (I even finished my devotional!), I've finally had time to start adding some details to my room décor (something I haven't had much time for since my family moved last February), and I've had more time to just play around and experiment with art.

With that being said, here are a few glimpses at what I've been creating recently.

I found this little sign (on the right) at Target a little while ago, and I painted the two little pieces on the right to compliment it. This is on the side of my bookshelf, which is right by my desk. I love looking up and seeing this when I'm working!

I painted this journal (also from target) as well! I really liked it as it was, but I wanted to add a little something to it. (I went with flowers... per the usual.)

I did this quick little "Pray without ceasing" sign a couple of days ago; it's currently hanging below my other art beside my desk. (Really loving this peachy/rosy/yellow/orange color scheme right now!)

I sent some snail mail off to a few of my friends from college (whom I miss terribly); I found these brown paper cards in our craft closet and used acrylics to paint simple, cheerful designs on the fronts.

I also made a few little water color pieces to include in the letters!

Watercolors have been my main medium for about three years now, but at the beginning of March I really started to get into acrylics again! I love the bright, bold colors- I've been painting a LOT of flowers (not unusual for me), and I've also enjoyed playing around and trying different techniques with acrylics.

This is a WIP (Work In Progress)… I did some washed marker on a few pieces of paper, and eventually I'll turn them into a mosaic of sorts.

Just a glimpse of (one of) my workspaces... our kitchen table frequently looks like this.
